As We Celebrate Cesar Chavez Day

We Continue Our Commitment to the Effective Advocacy He Inspired

Cesar Chavez changed lives in California’s tough agricultural industry – bringing better working conditions and wages and a measure of dignity to some of California’s poorest and most powerless working people.  In the process, he empowered countless farmworkers to stand up for themselves in the workplace and in their communities – and he inspired hundreds of volunteers from diverse backgrounds to participate in this cause.

One of those volunteers is firm owner Ann Smith (pictured here with Cesar in 1975).

Cesar Chavez and Ann Smith

Our firm’s deep and abiding connection to Cesar Chavez – and the historic movement he led – drives our daily commitment to serve our clients with skill, compassion and determination.  (Si se puede! Yes, it can be done!)

See more pictures of Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta from Ann Smith’s personal collection.

How can you make an impact locally?  Visit www.chavezclubs.org for more information on the terrific work being done with our young people (“Chavistas”) through the Cesar Chavez Service Clubs to assure that they learn and practice Cesar’s ten core values and that theybelieve in themselves and know they can make a difference.
